RCMP looking for suspect who used pepper spray during Coquitlam road rage incident

Police are looking for a young man who allegedly used pepper spray on another driver.

The Coquitlam RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding a young man who allegedly used pepper spray on another driver.

Mounties said the occupants of two vehicles — a black Mercedes Benz and a grey Kia — got into an argument over who had the right of way near Lougheed Highway and Brunette Avenue in Coquitlam on the evening of April 17.

The driver of the Mercedes got out of his vehicle and pepper-sprayed the occupants of the Kia, police said.

Witnesses describe the suspect as an Asian or South Asian male, in his late teens or early twenties, just under six feet tall with a slim build.

Anyone who sees the suspect is asked to call Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and ask for Cst. Chabot-Maltais (file 2017-11461).
