WINNIPEG — A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Cumberland Avenue Sunday morning.
Winnipeg police said a 30-year-old man was walking on the road in the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue around 3:15 a.m. when he was hit.

Police said the vehicle left the scene after hitting the man, without stopping to assist.
A portion of Cumberland Avenue and Carlton Street was shut down Sunday morning for police investigation.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect’s vehicle. It is a grey or silver 2004 Honda Accord and will likely have damage to the front of the passenger side. They are also looking for a cyclist who was in the area at the time as a potential witness.
