Montreal police have confirmed that a store at the Fairview Mall in Pointe-Claire has been evacuated.
Police said people shopping in The Baie were asked to leave as of 4:30 p.m. Sunday, following reports of an armed robbery.

Montreal police spokesperson Raphael Bergeron said officers were at the scene to manage the evacuation.
Bergeron said two suspects with ski masks entered a store and used an object to break the glass on some display cases.
The loud noise was confused with the sound of gunshots, according to police.
The two suspects grabbed some jewelry before fleeing on foot.
Bergeron said they were last seen heading east through the parking lot.
