RCMP say Edmonton man’s death in St. Albert not suspicious in nature

RCMP in St. Albert say the death of a man whose body was discovered early Wednesday morning is not suspicious in nature.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m., police were called to the area of Poundmaker Road and Sir Winston Churchill Avenue.

RCMP and forensic investigators responded to the call.

The man has been identified as 24-year-old Justin Semenchuk of Edmonton.

While his death has been ruled not suspicious in nature, police are working with the Medical Examiner to investigate the circumstances surrounding Semenchuk’s death.

Officers hope to speak with anyone who may have spoken with Semenchuk on May 9, 2017.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 780-458-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
