The verdict was handed down Wednesday for a man accused of trying to kill someone in a Vernon shooting.
Jacob Lowes was found not guilty of attempted murder but was convicted of attempted assault causing bodily harm.
He was also convicted of four other charges including unlawfully discharging a firearm.
The gunfire happened in Polson Park in August 2014.

The prosecutor told the court two people attempted to rob Lowes in a drug related confrontation at a nearby motel where a shotgun was fired into the ceiling.
Lowes chased the pair into the park where there was a shootout. No one was injured.
Lowes will be sentenced at a later date.
Two other men charged in connection with the shootings have yet to go to trial.
