Hospital TV bill leaves family outraged

Hospitality Network’s service rates vary from $8 a day, to over $17 a day at some health centres.

Wendi Wolf, an Ontario woman who spent six weeks in hospital last year, wants to know why Hospitality Network’s TV service prices are so high.

Wolf was admitted to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in May 2016 to deal with complications from brain cancer and a fall. Once admitted, Wolf was able to order additional services like TV, telephone and internet.

Hospitality Network’s service rates vary from $8 a day to over $17 a day at some health centres.

Wolf had to order a bundled package at the rate of $16.95 per day.

At the end of her six-week stay, her final bill came in at $624.60.
