Body found on banks of Fraser River identified as missing Delta resident Allen Skedden

Richmond RCMP have identified a body on the banks of the Fraser River Thursday afternoon.

Shortly before 1 p.m., Richmond RCMP responded to the 20,000-block of Fraserwood Way and confirmed the body is that of a deceased man.

They say the death is considered suspicious.

The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Allen William Skedden, who was a resident of Delta. Skedden was last seen on Feb. 21 and was reported missing to Delta Police. A missing persons investigation was started.

Missing person, William Skedden, was found dead in Richmond.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken conduct of the investigation and is working on how and when Skedden died.
