One person has died in a crash on Lougheed Highway in Burnaby Wednesday morning.
The vehicle left the road going eastbound and slammed into a pole near Production Way around 4 a.m.

RCMP say the eastbound lanes are closed at this time and eastbound and westbound traffic has been diverted on to the westbound lanes.
Investigators are working to determine if speed and weather were factors in the crash as the temperature was close to freezing at the time.
