Regina-born musician Colin James named to Canadian music industry hall of fame

REGINA – One of the biggest musicians to ever come out of Saskatchewan is being inducted into the 2013 Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame.

Regina-born guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer Colin James is getting this year’s honour.

The six-time Juno Award winner has had hits with songs such as “Just Came Back”, “Voodoo Thing” and “Five Long Years.”

James calls it a real honour to be inducted, adding it’s very special to be acknowledged by the industry in Canada.

His career has spanned 25 years, and he joins past inductees such as The Band, The Guess Who, Shania Twain and Rush.

James will get the nod at a ceremony in Toronto on March 21.
