Police are now searching for the driver involved and appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“Collisions at night can be very confusing” says Cpl. Michael McLaughlin in a release. “Right now we only have the perspective of witnesses. Until we hear from you, the driver, we won’t know your side and thus we won’t have the complete picture of what happened.”

The Coquitlam RCMP Coordinated Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is in the early stages of this investigation.  Any witnesses are asked to call the Coquitlam RCMP CCIT at 604-945-1550 and ask for Cpl. Quentin Frewing.  For anyone with a tip that must remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or visit solvecrime.ca.
