According to Montreal police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière, the house is located on Victoria Avenue and the bones have been sent to a lab to determine who they belong to.

Lacoursière said the bones were found in the basement ceiling.

In an interview with 98.5 FM radio, the worker said the bones were wrapped in newspaper.

The paper’s articles could date back to over 50 years ago, as they refer to when Maurice Duplessis was premier of Quebec.

Duplessis was last in office in 1959.

The worker said when he first saw the bones he thought they were that of an animal, but when he looked closer he realized they belonged to a child.
