It was a chaotic night on B.C. highways Thursday, including closures and delays, due to another blast of winter weather.

The Coquihalla Highway was closed between Hope and Merritt due to heavy snow and poor driving conditions.
After a few hours, southbound traffic was moving again but then two lanes had to be closed due to a collision.
About 20 centimetres of snow was forecast for Highway 5.
For many drivers heading to or from the interior, the closure meant turning around or finding a place to stay the night.
Highway webcams showed hundreds of vehicles at a standstill leading to the summit of the Coquihalla.
