WINNIPEG — A Colorado Avalanche broadcaster is making waves online after reporting from downtown Winnipeg on one of the coldest days of the year.
On Sunday, Kyle Keefe, a reporter and host at Altitude TV, was in the city for the Winnipeg Jets and Avalanche game at MTS Centre.
During the afternoon, temperatures felt like -38 C with the wind chill, making one of the most frigid days of the year.
Keefe was standing at the intersection of Portage Avenue and Main Street, and said he felt it was the coldest place on the planet.
“I would say it’s the windiest and coldest intersection on the planet,” Keefe said. “Just being out here, I feel like I might die.”
Keefe then ends the rant by calling the weather a “death sentence”, in a high pitched squeal.
The reporter was also tweeting other Winnipeg weather moments during his trip to the city.
