79-year-old Vancouver man with dementia found safe after cold night

UPDATE: 6:13 a.m. Thursday – Vancouver Police say Carl Lewis has been found and is now safe at home. There was concern for his safety as he had been missing since Wednesday morning and temperatures across Vancouver dipped to -8 overnight.

A 79-year-old Vancouver man with dementia is still missing and has not been seen since Wednesday morning.

Carl Lewis, who previously went missing on Nov. 27 and was found safe, was last seen at his home on West Pender Street, near Richards, around 10 a.m.

He is Caucasian, has a medium build and is balding. He was wearing a black jacket, dark blue hat, and brown pants.

Vancouver Police say he may appear confused and ask anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately and stay with him until officers arrive.
