WINNIPEG — The City of Winnipeg archives are officially looking for a new home.
A city report said it would be too expensive to renovate the old Carnegie Library on William Street and keep the archives there.
The building was flooded during a rain storm in 2014, just as some work was being done to fix it up.
The report said it would cost over $9 million to do all the repairs required to move the archives in.
It recommends the city find a cheaper warehouse to store the all the records.
