WINNIPEG — A newly published Winnipeg Transit video shows the progress being made on phase two of the southwest raid transit corridor.

The video shows the section of the corridor between Pembina Highway and Investors Group Field that was targeted to be finished by July of 2017, when Winnipeg hosts the Canada Summer Games.

“They’ve made amazing progress,” said city councillor Janice Lukes, on the pace of construction on the site.

The project may actually be ahead of schedule, she said.

The corridor itself is mostly complete but there’s still lots of work to do before the pedestrian bridge connecting the bus loop to IGF is completed.

The bridge will bring passengers to and from gate four of IGF from a bus loop on the north side of the stadium.
