Police have released surveillance video of a suspect they believe may be responsible for handing out hate-filled flyers across Edmonton.
In October and November, police received several complaints from residents who received hate-filled flyers in their mailboxes. After speaking to residents, police said several of them provided a consistent description of the suspect in the case.

The description of the suspect and the similar nature of the flyers have led police to believe the same person is responsible for all of the incidents.
Police obtained surveillance footage from a home in the Evansdale neighbourhood on the city’s north side in hopes of identifying the suspect.
The suspect is described as a man between 5’8″ and 6′ tall with a medium build. He was wearing dark, bold-framed glasses and a dark, hooded sweatshirt. The man was also wearing two-tone, skateboard-style shoes and carrying a backpack.

The EPS Hate Crimes Unit is asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact police at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
