A 27-year-old woman from Oka died after her car collided with a horse Monday evening.
The collision happened at around 6 p.m.
The woman was driving on Rang Sainte-Germaine, a poorly-lit country road, when she struck the animal, according to provincial police.

Paramedics attempted to revive the victim. She was pronounced dead in hospital at 7:15 p.m.
Two hours before the fatal crash a woman had reported the horse missing.
Police said she had suffered a fall while horseback riding and the horse had run away.
The animal did not survive the impact.
