In what is an annual holiday tradition in downtown Vancouver, the front of St. Paul’s Hospital is once again illuminated.
The annual Lights of Hope display takes volunteers more than six weeks to build and features more than 10 kilometres of lights, 100,000 bulbs and hundreds of sponsored stars.

The event is the largest yearly fundraiser effort for the hospital.
Broek Bosma from St. Paul’s Foundation says the a star is lit every time someone makes a donation. The funds raised go to enhance patient care at the hospital.
