Woman hit by truck in crosswalk, dragged 25 feet in Bedford

Halifax Regional Police haven’t ruled out that charges may be laid following a vehicle/pedestrian collision on Thursday evening in Bedford.

Police say a young woman was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of Bedford Highway and Dartmouth Road when she was struck by a truck and dragged 25 feet.

The 19-year-old victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they will make a decision on whether or not to lay charges against the 47-year-old driver of the truck once their investigation is complete.
