Toronto police are seeking the public’s help identifying two suspects wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy in North York on Saturday.
Police said Caheem “Clayshawn” Ramsuchit was visiting friends behind a townhouse unit on Shoreham Court, east of Jane Street and south of Steeles Avenue West, before 12 p.m. when multiple shots were fired.
“Two males make their way towards the back yard using a paved walkway. They eventually come up to wood fence and one male shoots his firearm over the fence and strikes the deceased,” Det. Sgt. Mike Carbone told reporters at a press conference Thursday morning.
A surveillance video released by police following the shooting shows two male suspects in dark clothing running towards a dark-coloured SUV and driving away.
Investigators said Ramsuchit was taken to hospital where he later died. An autopsy revealed his cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso.

“We are asking anyone who may have seen the vehicle or these individuals in and around the area of Shoreham and Jane is asked to call our office at 416-808-7400,” Carbone said.
“We’re also asking anyone who saw the deceased during the week prior to the homicide to call our office as well.”
Police said they have spoken to several witnesses in the area but are still seeking the motive for the shooting.
