Highway 63 near Boyle reopened after morning crash

 RCMP in Boyle are advising motorists that Highway 63 approximately 10 kilometres north of Boyle will be closed both southbound and northbound until at least 8:30 Wednesday morning, due to crash. 

The crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. RCMP say the collision involved three vehicles, and one person injured has been airlifted by STARS to hospital. RCMP reopened this part of the highway shortly after 11 a.m. 

One person was airlifted to an Edmonton area hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.

RCMP say the road conditions were icy at the time of the collision.

Charges are pending in this investigation.

Earlier in the morning, Boyle RCMP members were asking drivers to slow down because the road conditions were poor.
