Nanaimo RCMP looking for suspect in sex assault of 14-year-old

Nanaimo RCMP is looking for a male suspect responsible for the sex assault of a 14-year-old girl on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., in the area of Tunnah Road and Opal Crescent, police say the girl was walking by herself when she saw the man approaching.

She says as he was about to pass her, he grabbed her, pushed her up against an unknown object and then touched her inappropriately. After pushing him multiple times, she was eventually successful and ran off.

Police say she went home and told her parents about the incident the next morning.

The suspect is described as:

  •  Caucasian male, mid-20s, 5 ft. 6 to 5 ft. 8, muscular build
  •  pale skin, some acne scarring
  •  light-coloured stubble on his chin and over his lip
  •  bushy eyebrows

Clothing:

  •  dark hoodie with a white skater logo
  •  khaki pants.
