Police investigate after gunshots fired into residential building in Saint-Henri

WATCH ABOVE: Police are investigating after shots were fired at a home in Saint-Henri Sunday night – Nov 14, 2016

Shortly before midnight Sunday police received numerous 911 calls reporting possible gunshots fired on St-Ferdinand Street, near de Richelieu Street, in  Montreal’s Saint-Henri neighbourhood.

With the help of witnesses, officers were able to locate bullet holes in a building on St-Ferdinand Street.

Occupants in the home told police they were unaware that any shots had been fired.

“These persons offered very, very, limited cooperation to officers,” Montreal police spokesperson, Daniel Lacoursière, said.

A search in the surrounding area turned up a firearm. It was found in a nearby alley according to Lacoursière.

There were no reports of injuries and police have no suspects.

The investigation continues.
