Friends, family and members of the Abbotsford community gathered on Friday morning to remember 13-year-old Letisha Reimer, the young girl who was killed in a random stabbing inside Abbotsford Senior Secondary earlier this week.
A prayer service was held at her church where Letisha spent a lot of her time.

Classmates, friends and complete strangers gathered at South Abbotsford Church, where Letisha was a youth leader, teaching Sunday school and taking part in missions, including one to Kamloops to feed the homeless.
A service for Letisha was also held at the church on Thursday.
“If there was ever a job that needed to be done, or a new role or a new leader, you didn’t have to look far, Letisha would be there saying ‘I’ll take that, I’ll help out, how can I get involved?'” Jeremia Radvanszky, associate pastor of South Abbotsford Church said on Thursday.
Letisha’s volunteer work included caring for young children at the church. Her pastor says they’ll try to tell the kids about Letisha’s death in a positive way.
“There’s all kinds of ways we can try and explain it,” said pastor Matt Ewert. “For us as people of faith, what do we anchor ourselves in when we don’t understand? That’s what we just go back to, holding on to our faith.”

“This is awful, this is evil, this is horrific, but there’s a lot of good in the world,” added Ewert. “We believe in the good God who’s still doing good things. There’s good people and so, you know what, I think that’s a testament that, in the midst of darkness, there’s a lot of goodness and we’re seeing people rise to the occasion.”
“And we’re so grateful for it.”
Another teen was also wounded in the attack on Tuesday. She remains in hospital in stable condition.
A candlelight vigil will be held at Abbotsford Senior Secondary tonight, starting at 7 p.m. Classes will resume at the school on Monday.
