Man stabbed in west Edmonton is city’s 39th homicide of 2016

The fatal stabbing of a 28-year-old at a west Edmonton apartment building is being investigated as the city’s 39th homicide of 2016.

Police were called at around 4:30 a.m. Monday to a residence near 156 Street and 87 Avenue, where a man was found unresponsive in a suite.

An autopsy conducted Tuesday confirmed Kendall Dale Rowan, 28, died as a result of a stab wound.

Police said homicide detectives did not have anyone in custody as of Thursday morning.
