Regina Pats sing out-of-tune rendition of Red Solo Cup ahead of Friday’s game

A few Regina Pats members have tested out their country chops in a social media video promoting Country Thunder Saskatchewan Night.

Ahead of the game Friday, defenceman Sergey Zboroviskiy, defenceman Liam Schioler, forward Bryan Lockner and forward Lane Zablocki sang an out-of-tune rendition of Red Solo Cup. by Toby Keith.

After the players finished the song, the video listed some honorary titles. Zborovskiy was the Moscow Idol Winner 2013, Schioler is Sticking With Hockey, Lockner Loves his own voice and Zablocki is a Proud member of the Riffel Choir.

The Country Thunder Saskatchewan Night, when the Regina Pats play against the Saskatoon Blades at 7 p.m. CST, is offering gold seats at a reduced price; the more people buy tickets for the prime seating, the cheaper the seats become for all ticket holders.

Fans will also have a chance to win weekend passes, on-stage seating and a Gold Campsite for the Country Thunder Music Festival being held from July 13-16, 2017.

The festival was recently rebranded from the previously-named Craven Country Jamboree.
