A 22-year-old man wanted for first-degree murder in connection to an east-end Toronto shooting last week has surrendered to police.
Simeon Harty was sought following the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Kevin Nicholas Gidden who died in hospital on Saturday.
Toronto police said both individuals crossed paths at a gas station near Orton Park Road and Lawrence Avenue East when shots were fired while the victim was riding inside a vehicle around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday.

The driver, who wasn’t injured, drove Gidden to the nearby 43 Division police station.
The injured man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition and died in hospital two days later.
Harty was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count each of first-degree murder and attempted murder.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
