MONTREAL – It’s every parent’s worst Halloween nightmare.

While checking over his child’s Halloween bounty, a parent in Pointe-aux-Trembles realized that some of the treats had been tampered with.

Montreal police have confirmed that suspicious objects were inserted into homemade candies.

Authorities would like to remind parents of the importance of carefully inspecting all Halloween candy to ensure that the original packaging is intact.
