A 37-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after police stopped a semi hauling cattle outside of Swift Current, Sask. on Saturday.
According to police, on Oct. 29, Swift Current Rural RCMP were told by several people that a cattle trailer heading southbound on Highway 4 was driving erratically and driving into oncoming traffic.
Officers found the semi near Highway 363 and the driver was arrested for impaired driving. Police say the cattle hauler was impounded and towed to Swift Current.
The driver has been charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle while impaired and one count of operating a motor vehicle while over 80mgs per 100 ml, or over 0.08 BAC.
The driver has been released from custody and will appear in court on Nov. 21 in Swift Current.
Police have not released the driver’s name.
