After a week of violent incidents around Metro Vancouver there has been another case of shots fired in Burnaby.
Police were called to an apartment building in the 2000-block of Rosser Avenue in the Brentwood area. Residents say they heard what sounded like gunfire exchanged around 11 p.m.
A vehicle was also seen racing away shortly after.

When police arrived they found a bullet hole in an apartment building and a vehicle in the underground parking lot riddled with bullets.
Its owner was found nearby uninjured. RCMP say he is known to them and is associated with a criminal organization.
No arrests have been made at this time. Investigators say the shooting does not appear to be connected to a string of other recent violent incidents in Metro Vancouver but they admit it is worrisome for members of the public.
“It’s obvious that it’s dangerous for everybody and we’re very concerned about that but what I can tell you is that these incidents don’t take place very often,” said Staff Sgt. Major John Buis with Burnaby RCMP. “However, we have had a string of them now and we’re very concerned about it and we’re doing our utmost to solve this crime.”
