A daring heist has left a Dollard-des-Ormeaux sports store short of 400 high-end hockey sticks.

Security camera footage appears to show a man sliding down a rope from the ceiling of Monkey Sports on Brunswick Boulevard Saturday night.

Montreal police are still investigating how the suspect managed to enter the store from the roof.

A crime scene technician was on location Saturday night not long after the robbery was reported.

Police are still waiting on an inventory from the owner of the store.

The sticks sell for about $300 each, bringing the loss to at least $120,000.

Monkey Sports has been robbed at least once before since opening  its doors this summer.

According to Montreal police, there was also at least one attempted robbery at the store.

Police said the suspects could try to sell the hockey sticks through popular sites, such as Kijiji or arena shops.

“If you have a doubt about the provenance [of the hockey sticks] call 911,” said Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
