US Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay’s 15-year-old daughter killed in shooting

U.S. Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay’s 15-year-old daughter, Trinity, was killed at a shooting at a restaurant in Lexington, Ken., according to WKYT.

Police responded to a call outside the Cook Out Restaurant before 4 a.m. ET Sunday morning after reports of gunfire.

Police said two cars exchanged gunfire outside of the restaurant although Trinity was said to be in neither vehicle.

Tyson Gay spoke with WPEX TV Sunday morning en route to the airport to head to Lexington.

“She didn’t make it,” Tyson Gay said. “I’m so confused. She was just here last week for fall break. It’s so crazy. I have no idea what happened.”
