OSHAWA, Ont. – A 14-year-old boy is facing charges arising from an alleged sexual assault in Oshawa, Ont.

Durham regional police say a boy pushed his way into a home last Saturday and touched a female resident inappropriately while attempting to hug her.

They say the suspect turned himself in to detectives on Wednesday.

An Oshawa boy is charged with sexual assault, assault, and unlawfully being in a dwelling house.

Investigators say he was being held for a bail hearing and can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
