Police are searching for a suspect wanted in an assault on a 22-year-old woman at a Richmond Hill bar earlier this year.

York Regional Police responded to a disturbance at the bar, located in the Highway 7 and East Beaver Creek Road area, just before 3 a.m. on April 15.

Several people were found with injuries after police said a fight broke out inside the bar and spilled out onto the parking lot. One of the victims, a 22-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries in the fight and was taken to hospital.

Investigators determined the fight broke out between two groups of people inside the bar and a male suspect struck the woman in the face outside, where she fell face-first onto the ground. Police said the suspect then hit the woman again when she was on the ground.
