The Truro Police Service says it’s aware of a recent Facebook post that alleges violent acts will occur at two different schools in the Truro, N.S., area this week.
The post claims both the Truro Junior High School and the Cobequid Educational Centre (CEC) and will be visited on Friday and alleges that there is a list of students and staff that will be the targets.
The threat in this case is similar to threats made against other North American schools recently — involving a clown.

Inspector Robert Hearn says police were made aware of the social media posts on Monday and are investigating them.
Hearn says these types of incidents are always concerning, but at this time, there is nothing to indicate that the threats are credible.
Police say there are full time police officers stationed are both CEC and the Truro Junior High School, and there will be increased patrols in the area near both the schools on Friday to ensure the safety of staff, students and the public.
