VPD looks for witnesses after woman randomly attacked on Granville Street Bridge

Vancouver Police are investigating an alleged assault that took place on the Granville Street Bridge early Sunday morning.

Police said a 32-year-old woman was walking south on the east sidewalk of the bridge around 3 a.m. when she spotted a man in a suit looking over the railing. After she walked past him, he ran in front of her and punched her in the face several times.

Following the attack, the suspect was seen running southbound off the bridge.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 30s with short, brown hair and stubble on his face. He was wearing a dark-coloured suit at the time of the attack.
