A woman in South Memphis didn’t have to go very far to find the people who broke into her house.
Jamie Barnes says she returned to her home on Davant Street in South Memphis, Tennessee on Sunday to find her house had been broken into – and the two culprits weren’t exactly fleeing the scene.
Barnes says she returned to her home after being away since Friday, and noticed her front door was open.

When she entered, she discovered her house had been ransacked and several items taken – and that was before she discovered the overly amorous thieves on her couch.
“It’s horrible in there,” Barnes said. “It’s absolutely horrible in there. It’s like they just had a big old nasty party.”

Barnes told police she pursued the two alleged thieves, with the man shouting “I don’t know nothing!” repeatedly while the woman tried to clothe herself.
“She tried to grab one of my dresses and put it on, and I snatched it from her, what are you trying to do?” said Barnes.
According to a report from the Memphis Police Department, jewelry, appliances, shoes and clothing were all stolen.
Police arrested Tonka Barnes, 44, but were unable to apprehend the male suspect who fled the scene.
She was charged with aggravated burglary and is being held on $30,000 bond. It is not known at this time if she is a familial relation to Jamie Barnes.
