WINNIPEG — Educators from across the province are gathering at the University of Manitoba on Monday, in hopes of teaching others about the findings of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC).
Part one of the conference, which is hosted by the University of Manitoba and the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, kicks off Monday. It provides educators with information about the TRC and how the calls to action are being enacted by Manitoba teachers and university officials. This includes information about reducing the number of indigenous children in provincial care and improving healthcare in First Nations communities.
The workshops will be hosted by educators from across the province who will share the various actions being taken in regards to reconciliation.

Part two of the conference starts Feb. 6, 2017 at the University of Manitoba.
