Teen facing 3 charges after taxi cab allegedly shot at in northern Saskatchewan

La Ronge RCMP say a taxi cab was shot at earlier this month and have now made an arrest in relation to their investigation.

Around half past midnight on Sept. 11, officers were called to a complaint of gunshots on Royal Street on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band in northern Saskatchewan.

Further investigation determined that a firearm had been discharged at a taxi cab while it was attending to a residence.

No injuries were reported.

On Tuesday, police took a 16-year-old boy into custody. He is facing charges of reckless discharge of a firearm, assault with a weapon and breach of undertaking.

The youth is scheduled to appear in La Ronge provincial court on Thursday.
