Saskatchewan RCMP have charged two people after a multi-person assault which prompted a standoff with police on Sunday.
At 8:23 a.m. Punnichy RCMP were called to a residence on the Kawacatoose First Nation for a report of threats being made to one man with firearms involved.

Police said after the assault, the suspects left the residence and went to a second location on the First Nation at 8:55 a.m. Officers attempted to take the suspects into custody, but police said they refused to leave the residence.
Police locked down the area and other officers, including a crisis negotiator, were brought in.
Police said the situation was resolved without incident by 12 p.m.
According to police, six men were taken into custody. Another man was taken into custody shortly after 1 p.m.
Two men from Regina are facing multiple charges. Michael David Blueeyes, 25, is charged with uttering threats against a person, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and resisting arrest.
Ricky Charles Longman, 24, has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Blueeyes appeared in court in Punnichy, Sask. Tuesday. He is scheduled to appear in court in Regina on Sept. 23. Longman is scheduled to appear in court in Punnichy on Nov. 8.
Police are continuing to investigate and said further charges may be pending.
