The Make-A-Wish Foundation held its 10th annual 48-hour bike ride at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve over the weekend.
This year 1700 participants took part in the event.

Despite the adverse weather conditions Saturday night, cyclists pushed on for the cause.
All together they raised $1.9 million, surpassing their target of $1.5 million.
This year the honorary guest for the event was Montreal mayor Denis Coderre who presented the check.
According to the organizer, Michelle Sylvestre, the amount raised makes this year the best one yet.
“We’re so excited, we thought we would get it, we exceeded it,” said Sylvestre. “We’re incredibly happy and fortunate to have these people doing this 48-hour ride for us and for the kids, it’s incredible.”
Since the event began ten years ago, the Quebec branch of the Make-a-Wish Foundation has raised $7.5 million with the 48-hour ride, helping to make the wishes of sick kids come true.
