According to Audrey-Anne Bilodeau with the Sûreté du Québec SQ, a search at the teens’ school and subsequent investigation showed the two were about to put their plan into action.

Bilodeau said this served as a reminder to all teens that police take all threats seriously even when they are made on social media.

Sgt. Daniel Thibodeau, also with the SQ, said the teens face numerous charges including three counts each of conspiracy to commit murder, two counts each of attempting to administer a drug to commit sexual assault, as well as weapons charges and criminal harassment charges.

The two are being detained and are expected back in court early this week for a bail hearing.
