Witnesses told police that on Sept. 14 they saw the suspect and the 64-year-old victim get into an altercation over a parking lot spot outside of a local Walmart.

It’s believed the suspect and the woman he was with parked in the spot the victim needed, so he confronted them.

“He was yelling to the lady, ‘I’m handicapped. This is for handicapped people,’” witness Susan Fowler told KCRA News. “And the lady was just irate and she was cursing at him and screaming, ‘I don’t give a “f” what you are.’”

That’s when things turned physical.

“[The suspect]…got the guy out of the car and slammed him on the ground,” Chris Bennett, another witness, told KCRA. “I was able to get between them.”

The victim was allegedly also put into a chokehold and punched.

It’s not known what injuries the 64-year-old sustained, if any.

Fowler said she began recording the incident after the victim was pushed to ground.

“Justice needs to be served,” said Fowler.

Witnesses said they didn’t see a permit for accessible parking in the suspects’ car.

When police ran the suspect’s licence plate, the vehicle turned out to belong to someone else.

Police said the suspect will most likely face battery charges.
