RCMP ask public for help in solving murder of Victoria Crow Shoe

A year after her body was found, the RCMP Major Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s help in solving the murder of Victoria Joanne Crow Shoe.

Crow Shoe’s body was found Sept. 13, 2015 near Pincher Creek, Alta., along the shore of the Oldman River Reservoir at the Windy Point Campground.

Her family reported her missing to the Lethbridge Regional Police two days after her body was recovered.

Family members told police they last saw her on Aug. 26. Police have since established that she was last seen on Aug. 31.

Crow Shoe was known to be living at the Lethbridge Shelter and was often seen at the library.

The RCMP are asking for information regarding her whereabouts and activities between the last time she was seen, Aug. 31, and the day on which her body was found, Sept. 13.

Anyone with information about Crow Shoe is asked to call the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit for Southern Alberta at 403-343-5572. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
