The trial for a former Calgary lacrosse coach accused of sexually assaulting two minors when they were 13 and 16 years old started Monday.

Kelly Ross Feser, 48, had been charged with one count of sexual interference with a child under 14, two counts of sexual interference with a child under the age of 16 and two counts of sexual assault. The two counts of sexual assault were dropped last year.
The original complainant in the case testified Monday.
“He’d give me cigarettes, marijuana, alcohol and money,” the young woman told court. Her identity is protected by a publication ban.
When asked how often she was given money from Feser, the victim replied, “every time I sold myself to him,” while fighting back tears.
The now-22-year-old victim went on to describe the events that she said led to the sexual assault.
“It would start off talking, a cigarette, then it would move to his bedroom,” she said.
The woman said Feser would start giving her a back massage, before removing her clothes and penetrating her.
“I felt like I’d already given my soul and I had nothing left to lose.”
The young woman testified most of the sexual abuse happened at Feser’s home, but also said it sometimes happened in a cemetery on the outskirts of Calgary.
She said Feser would reassure her that the cemetery was closed, before removing her clothes. He told her his own father worked at the cemetery.
“It was just get in, get it done,” the victim said, referring to the times she went with Feser to the cemetery.
The victim told court she was just 13 years old when the abuse began, and the assaults continued until she was 17.
She also testified Feser’s son was home during some of the sexual assaults. But she added Feser would wait until his son was sleeping or wearing headphones before the abuse began.
The trial is scheduled for five days.
