The City of Edmonton’s Oliver Outdoor Pool is closed for the season to regular swimmers, but four-legged ones will get one last swim.

The Edmonton Humane Society is holding its annual Dog Dive Saturday afternoon, which gives the public a chance bring their pooches to a city pool for a swim. Owners are also encouraged to swim alongside their dogs.

“Every year, it’s a huge hit,” EHS event planner Sarah Batchelor said. “We have people asking us about it months in advance, just to make sure they don’t miss out on the fun!”

The event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 per person, $5 per dog, with all proceeds going directly back to the shelter.

Last year, the Dog Dive raised over $6000 for the Edmonton Humane Society. It was the most successful Dog Dive to date.

The Oliver Pool is located at 10315 119 St NW, just west of downtown.
