A man in his 20s is recovering in hospital after slamming his car into the back of a parked truck on the service road of Highway 40 in Montreal, between Viau and Lacordaire boulevards.
Montreal police said the collision happened at 8:15 a.m. Saturday as the driver was heading east on Metropolitain Boulevard.
The man was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to André Leclerc, a Montreal police spokesperson, alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.
Two of three lanes on the eastbound service road were closed for several hours as collision experts examined the scene.
