Kelly Kisio is leaving the Calgary Hitmen after 18 years with the team. Calgary Hitmen

The Calgary Hitmen announced Friday that long time general manager Kelly Kisio will be leaving the organization to take on a scouting position for the new NHL franchise team in Las Vegas.

Kisio joined the Calgary Flames organization as a scout right after his playing days were done with the team in 1995. From there, he signed on with the Calgary Hitmen as the general manager in 1998.

The Hitmen made the playoffs ever year but one under Kisio.
