Penticton RCMP issue public warning about groper

PENTICTON – RCMP are investigating two groping incidents in Penticton and are hoping for tips from the public.

They occurred on July 29 and August 24 on Wiltse Boulevard.

In the first incident, a boy riding a bicycle approached a woman pushing a baby stroller.

He touched her sexually through her clothes and asked for a kiss before riding away.

The suspect is described as 13-14 years old, South Asian with short, dark-brown hair and brown eyes.

The second incident also involved a woman walking with a stroller.

Police say the culprit pulled her from behind, kissed her, and ran away.

He’s described as 15-17 years old and South Asian.

“The Penticton RCMP are very concerned about the similar pattern in the same location of Penticton”, said Staff-Sergeant Kurt Lozinski in a news release. “We hope that someone in the neighbourhood can provide us with this young persons’ identity in order to stop any further incidents”.
